About Bonnie

find their way forward.

Bonnie Bridgewater Stewart is an Independent Educational Consultant, mentor, and educator with over three decades of experience guiding students and adults through the moments that matter most: the crossings between who they are and where they're meant to go.

Trained at Vanderbilt University's Peabody College of Education and Harvard's Graduate School of Education, and holding a Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA, Bonnie has served as an Independent Educational Consultant with Smart College Selection since 2019, working as a full member of a six-consultant team. Beginning in 2027, her focus there will shift entirely to major and career exploration, reflecting the heart of what she does best: listening, connecting, supporting, and guiding.

Bridgewater Insights was born from something personal. Bridgewater is Bonnie's maiden name, her family of origin, and a tribute to the parents who saw who she truly was, long before she had words for it. This practice carries that gift forward: the experience of being truly seen and encouraged to head towards where you will genuinely thrive.

HAB — Certified Highlands Ability Battery Consultant

The HAB measures your natural, inborn abilities, not learned skills or personality traits. Through timed work samples, it reveals how you are neurologically wired to take in information, solve problems, and perform at your best. Results are explored through an in-depth debrief session, followed by exploration exercises and coaching to translate your abilities into real direction.

Strong Interest Inventory

SII — Certified

One of the world's most respected career instruments, the Strong measures your interests across six themes and compares them to the patterns of professionals in hundreds of fields. It answers not just "what can I do?" but more importantly, "what will I genuinely enjoy doing?" Results are explored through an interpretation meeting, with follow-up exploration exercises and coaching to help you act on what you discover.
